MARKINGS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Green Key is an eco-label used in the hospitality industry. Today it is available in 50 countries and at about 2400 facilities. Facilities marked with Green Key must, for example, have an environmental policy, use energy-saving solutions and have measures in place to reduce water consumption, and that the chemical content of hygiene products and cleaning products follow established rules. Furthermore, there is a requirement for a proportion of organic, fair-trade and / or locally produced food. The facility must regularly train / inform its staff regarding environmental issues and the Green Key work that is carried out. The criteria are designed to reduce the facility's direct environmental impact but also to inform and encourage guests to pay attention to the facility's measures and ambition. Through information, the facility shall strive to also involve the guests in reducing the facility's environmental impact.
