HOLIDAY IN MALMÖ

Malmö is Sweden's third largest city and here it is shopping, culture, sports and gastronomy that shine. The proximity to two international airports makes it easy and convenient for both Swedish and foreign visitors to get here.

If you are interested in food and drink in a cozy inner city environment, you can walk within Lilla Torg which is centrally located in Malmö. You can also take a walk in the western harbor for a closer look at the Turning Torso with its height of 190 meters and rotation of 90 degrees from the base to the top.

Malmö is the city of parks with its 15 beautiful, unique and well-visited green spaces that make the city very lively and it is easy to just sit down and enjoy the surroundings. The castle garden, which is open all year round, is an alternative for you who want to be inspired and see more greenery. The garden consists of several smaller gardens in different styles and all with a focus on ecology.

The Swedish-Danish TV series Bron is recorded in Malmö and on the Öresund Bridge, among other places, and during your visit you can get a guided tour of places that are both known and unknown but that follow the series' main characters. A flexible and exciting way to discover Malmö.

Here we have selected a selection of everything there is to do in Malmö. More information and event calendar can be found at malmotown.se

Enjoy a glass (or two), a piece of food prepared from local ingredients (of course) and, when the sun is shining, life on our terrace overlooking the water.

RIBERGSBORGS STRAND - "RIBBAN"

Ribersborgs strand - or "Ribban" as it is often called - is Malmö's most visited beach. Throughout the summer, the beach is filled with both Malmö residents and visitors who enjoy sunbathing and swimming. In the evenings, the beach changes character and barbecuers mingle with salsa parties and strollers. It does not get any worse from the fact that the beach is within walking distance of the city.

At the beach there is a handicap swimming pool, a demarcated area for nude swimming,  kiosks, restaurants and a marina. There is also Ribergsborgs Kallbadhus with several saunas, two large outdoor pools (sea pools). and a restaurant.

THE CASTLE PARK AND THE ROYAL PARK
Malmö's two oldest public parks were both inaugurated in 1872. They are located in the middle of the city, and are clearly inspired by the romantic style, with winding footpaths, bridges and small ponds.
The open lawns are perfect for summer picnics, and Malmö residents make a pilgrimage here as soon as the sun begins to look ahead.

Next to Malmöhus Castle, as part of Slottsparken, is Slottsträdgården. Here vegetables and flowers are grown by a non-profit garden association, and a number of garden events are arranged
annually here, for example the Harvest Festival, the Onion Festival and the Malmö Garden Show. There is also a popular café here.

TURNING TORSO
High above Västra Hamnen in Malmö rises the city's foremost landmark, the famous skyscraper Turning Torso. The building was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, and has placed Malmö on the world map of architecture. Turning Torso was inaugurated on August 27, 2005, and with its 190 meters was then the country's tallest building.
