Accessibility according to us

For us, accessibility means making it possible for as many people as possible to participate in meetings and conferences on equal terms. That is why we have developed our own criteria for what we at Skånska Möten consider to be an accessible venue.

 

The criteria are based on the principle that a person with a mobility impairment should be able to independently access and use the venue’s public areas, meeting rooms and hotel rooms, where available.

 

 

To be considered accessible according to our criteria, the venue must meet the following requirements:

• Elevator or adapted wheelchair ramp should be available at the venue.

• Wide door openings and door openers.

• At least 1 hotel room that is accessibility-adapted with wide door openings and a toilet/shower that works for people using aids such as a wheelchair or walker.

• At least 1 meeting room should be accessible for people using aids such as a wheelchair or walker.

• At least 1 public accessible toilet for people with disabilities.

• At least 1 parking space near the entrance for disabled guests.

• A hearing loop should be in place in the conference room or available for rent if needed.
