Our sustainability efforts
Towards a more sustainable future
We want to make a difference, both in our everyday operations and within the meetings industry.
At Skånska Möten, we work to reduce our environmental impact, create a sustainable workplace and contribute to a more sustainable society. We do this through conscious choices, care for people and close collaboration with our member venues.
We are far from finished, but we believe that every step counts. Here's how we put sustainability into practice every day:
Environment & conscious choices
We strive to make more sustainable choices throughout our daily operations, from energy use to transportation and materials.
-
Solar panels on our office roof and LED lighting.
-
Digital invoicing, digital payslips and reduced paper consumption.
-
Environmentally certified cleaning products and fewer single-use packages.
-
Whenever possible, we choose public transport, coordinated transportation solutions and cycling.
People & workplace wellbeing
Sustainability is also about ensuring that people thrive, grow and have working conditions that are sustainable over time.
-
A 36-hour work week with full pay and wellness benefits.
-
Ergonomic work equipment and opportunities for further education and professional development.
-
We actively promote equality and equal opportunities.
-
We collaborate with Akademi Båstad and welcome interns.
Care & social responsibility
We aim to make a positive impact beyond our own organisation.
-
We support organisations working to combat hunger and improve mental health.
-
We require our member venues to be members of Visita and to have collective bargaining agreements for their employees.
Together for more sustainable meetings
We want to contribute to a meetings industry where sustainability is a natural part of planning and decision-making.
Through our network of meeting venues across Skåne, we aim to make it easier for companies and organisations to find venues that align with their needs and sustainability ambitions.
We believe in collaboration, knowledge sharing and the power of working together to make a difference.
