HELSINGBORG – A MIX OF CITY CENTRE AND SMALL TOWN LIVING
Helsingborg offers a fantastic mix of city centre and small town living, with beautiful beaches right in the city offering amazing views of Öresund and Denmark. The proximity to Denmark makes it easy to take the ferry across the sound and back to enjoy the classic ‘smörrebröd’, a type of open sandwich, and the great atmosphere on the ferry. Helsingborg’s main landmark is Kärnan, the medieval fortification which has been watching over the city for 700 years.
The Sofiero Castle and its gardens is named the most beautiful park in Europe and a place to enjoy over 10 000 blooming rhododendrons, rippling streams, the castle café, art exhibitions, concerts or a garden event with a picnic.
Fredriksdal is worth a visit with its open air museum, one of the largest in Sweden, focusing on nature and culture.
Also, make sure to visit the beautiful peninsula of Bjärehalvön and discover the small towns of Båstad, Torekov and Hovs Hallar, as well as the nature reserve of Kullaberg and the small harbour of Mölle.
